In the absence of star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was sidelined with an Achilles injury, the Milwaukee Bucks turned to Damian Lillard in a 113-106 win over the Los Angeles Clippers Monday night.

The Bucks needed a big night from Lillard to get past one of the top teams in the West, and he delivered, putting up 41 points and helping Milwaukee overcome a 15-point deficit in the second half.

The Bucks went on a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead late. From there, Lillard, with some assistance from Bobby Portis who had 28 points off the bench, put the game away.

The Bucks had a rocky start to the Doc Rivers era, but have now won six straight to improve to 41-21 on the season and gain some crucial momentum heading into the final stretch of the year. Milwaukee currently sits in second place in the East, and the win streak has helped it create some separation from the third-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

If Lillard can continue putting up big games like he had Monday, the Bucks will be in a good position to make another title run.
