Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has made his Super Bowl pick, and he’s going with the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers.

“You gotta understand, I love me some Travis Kelce now. You ain’t going to get me to pick against Travis Kelce, but I do like the 49ers,” he said on Thursday’s First Take (5:40 mark). “But I love me some Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.”

It isn’t wild picking the quarterback and tight end duo who have already won two titles together and reached the Super Bowl four times over a Niners’ team with a second-year quarterback in Brock Purdy calling the shots.

On paper, the Niners have more talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. But it’s tough to bet against Mahomes, Kelce and head coach Andy Reid in a big game at this point.
