The Los Angeles Lakers cruised to a 134-110 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night thanks to strong performances from LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell.

Russell’s 34 points and eight assists both led the team, shooting 66.7 percent from the field while connecting on six three-pointers. He also showed off his defensive instincts by blocking two shots, marking the fifth time this season that he’s picked up at least two rejections in a game.

Lakers fans were amazed by his performance on both ends of the court.

James finished with an efficient 28 points on 8-16 shooting, adding five rebounds and five assists in his 31 minutes on the floor. He was able to get to the charity stripe with consistency, knocking down nine of his 10 free throw attempts.

Russell connected with James on more than one occasion, exemplified by an impressive fastbreak that resulted in a powerful dunk from the four-time MVP. Fans were impressed with the strong outing by the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

Head coach Darvin Ham’s team was efficient all night long, shooting 39 percent from three on 33 attempts. The Lakers have now won three of their past four games to move to 22-22 on the season, getting back to a .500 record for the first time since Jan. 9.
