Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard posted his second-ever triple double en route to guiding his team to a 127-116 win over the L.A. Lakers on Tuesday.
Leonard scored 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting, making his first eight shots. He also grabbed 11 rebounds and dished 10 assists. The Clippers shot 59.1 percent from the field and made 14-of-27 three-pointers.
The Lakers played without LeBron James (left ankle peroneal tendinopathy). D’Angelo Russell guided the offense with 27 points and 10 assists, while Anthony Davis posted 26 points and 12 rebounds.
The scorching-hot Clippers have now won 20 of their last 24 games. Their 28-14 record is good enough for fourth in the Western Conference.
If Leonard keeps performing at an elite level on a nightly basis, the sky is the limit for this team. For this night in particular, though, fans and analysts were in awe of his sensational performance.

Happy for Kawhi Leonard getting that triple double. Big time game. We know he is an All Star, All NBA & MVP candidate this season. Klaw has never been better. #ClipperNation
