A high rise is generally defined as anything from 10 to 14 inches. Your perfect number will depend on how long your torso is, but in general, you want the waistband to come up to your belly button.

THE DARK JEAN

While light-blue denim can read too casual for evening, a grey or indigo wash works well, especially with the right styling choices.
