The “Morbius” trailers have shown Keaton in plainclothes as Adrian Toomes, but apparently, he gets his Vulture suit back in the movie. Espinosa teased, “If you look closely, you will see it is not quite the same suit as Homecoming. He is a resourceful guy.”
When asked whether Vulture in “Morbius” was setting up a “Sinister Six” movie (over and above “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which already sort of felt like one), Espinosa added, “He is recruiting teammates and he has enticed one already. So it sure looks like a start.”
Here’s the official synopsis for “Morbius” via Sony Pictures Entertainment:
One of the most compelling and conflicted characters in Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?
Find out if Leto’s character does indeed “succumb to his mysterious new urges” when “Morbius” gallops into theaters on April 1, 2022.
