A big part of our jobs in the goop fashion department is getting distracted. It’s encouraged. That’s because sifting through the latest and greatest in art, culture, travel, and—of course—fashion is how we keep inspiration levels high. We created this column to share up-and-coming collaborations, exhibitions that hit a spectrum of cultural touchpoints, notable store openings, and anything else we hope gets you as excited as it gets us.
In this edition: an East Hampton soiree to celebrate Gucci’s new resort collection, a Louis Vuitton steamer trunk for the astrologically inclined, workout classes featuring Hermès accessories (yes, really), and more.

GUCCI IN THE HAMPTONS
Open for its second summer as a permanent outpost, the Gucci store in East Hampton—all ocean-blue walls, plush velvet armchairs, rattan furniture, and gorgeous brass fixtures—is stocked with everything you need to soak up every last bit of the season. You’ll find monogrammed bucket hats (how cute?), a red-white-and-blue two-piece perfect for Labor Day weekend (it is, after all, the summer of the matching set), and chevron-striped beach totes finished with rich leather trim and location-specific tags. It’s all part of the brand’s resort collection, which it celebrated with a nothing-short-of-fabulous soiree at the home of stylist Elizabeth Saltzman. Mark Ronson DJ’ed. Local wine from Wölffer was flowing. The Richard Meier–designed modernist structure on the property was lit up after dark. Like we said: fabulous.

FASHION MEETS FITNESS
Three luxury brands venture into the workout world.
HERMÈSFIT
Earlier this month, Hermès took over the Hollywood Athletic Club for a four-day event dubbed HermèsFit. The space—which featured a climbing wall, a boxing ring, and branded bench presses and kettlebells—was entirely reimagined in the maison’s iconic orange. Also on-site: a photo booth, fresh juices, and workout classes featuring Hermès accessories (think stretching with H belts, kickboxing with bangles). Lighthearted? Yes. Luxe? That too.
MIU MIU
Leave it to Miuccia Prada to bring back the tennis skirt. In the brand’s fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection, we saw pleated minis and matching polos styled as everyday wear with socks, loafers, scarves, and coats. “It’s so chic,” says Ali Pew, goop’s creative and editorial fashion director. “I love that you could wear these pieces to the office and, hypothetically, go straight from your last call to the court.”
GUCCI X ADIDAS
While this collab isn’t exactly breaking news (it launched back on June 7), we thought it deserved to be included because, well, it’s iconic. It started with Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, riffling through the adidas archive—and ended with a massive collection of clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories, all cobranded with the adidas trefoil and Gucci GG’s.

NEW JEWELRY HITS THE GOOP SHOP
Our buyers are constantly on the lookout for the coolest brands across every category. This month, they struck gold.
CECE JEWELLERY
After earning her art history degree and interning at both Christie’s and Sotheby’s, Cece Fein Hughes started designing jewelry in 2018. Her hand-enameled pendants and signet rings—inspired by the painted armor of Celtic warriors and the gilded headpieces of Byzantine princesses, along with her love of fairy tales and animal totems—are ethereal and deeply symbolic.
CECE JEWELLERY RING, goop, $3,517.80;
CECE JEWELLERY PENDANT AND CHAIN, goop, $2,398.50;
CECE JEWELLERY RING, goop, $3,517.80
DAPHINE
If you’re looking for unique pieces that won’t break the bank, the British brand Daphine does not disappoint. Each item—from the bezel-set tennis necklace to the chunky sunburst ring to (our favorite) the red-tourmaline-embellished charm bracelet—is sustainably crafted from 18-karat-gold-plated recycled brass. Meaning as long as you avoid swimming or showering in it, you’ll be able to enjoy it for seasons to come.
DAPHINE NECKLACE, goop, $325;
DAPHINE BRACELET, goop, $98;
DAPHINE RING, goop, $98
YVONNE LÉON
Yvonne Léon grew up in a family of jewelers, so becoming one herself seemed almost like an inevitability. The Parisian native finds inspiration all around her—at flea markets, museums, vintage shops, even in her grandmother’s jewelry box—and creates delicate, whimsical designs for the modern woman. We’re especially fond of her chains, which play with link sizes and mixed metals to delightful effect.

YVONNE LÉON RING, goop, $1,318

LOUIS VUITTON X SUSAN MILLER TRUNK
Anyone with even the mildest interest in astrology knows Susan Miller and has likely visited her obsessed-over site Astrology Zone (and its offshoot apps, books, et al.) for celestial insight. For this project, Miller contextualized Monsieur Vuitton’s life’s work with one of her signature star charts—a fascinating read. Then she re-created what the solar system looked like on the morning he was born, 200 years ago, and put it inside—what else?—a trunk. The piece is part of a traveling exhibition of 200 trunks designed by visionaries from Frank Gehry to Gloria Steinem (there’s even one designed by LEGO). Next stop: Beverly Hills.

DROGHERIA CRIVELLINI FOR ATTERSEE
Some of our favorite collaborations are the unexpected ones. Case in point: Attersee, a newcomer from NYC with a penchant for linen, stripes, and Gustav Klimt, and Drogheria Crivellini, an Italian shoemaker with a deep commitment to sustainability and a history that dates back to 1955. The collection of slip-ons and Mary Janes stays true to both brands—and looks insanely cute doing it.
