Larry Benjamin, a Detroit Lions fan receiving hospice care who dyed his hair blue for the team’s playoff run, received a very special gift from star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown this weekend.
St. Brown sent Benjamin, a lifelong Lions fan, an autographed jersey after hearing about his gesture of support for the team. The inscription on the jersey read, “Larry the Man, Keep being a beast. Best fans in the world. One Pride!”

After seeing St. Brown dye his hair blue for Detroit’s NFC Wild Card round victory over the Los Angeles Rams, Benjamin decided to do that same ahead of the team’s divisional round title against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Lions beat the Rams 24-23 last weekend and St. Brown caught seven passes for 110 yards in the matchup.
St. Brown and the Lions will now try to replicate that success on Sunday when they host the Buccaneers at Ford Field. The Bucs upset the Philadelphia Eagles 32-9 in the wild card round at Raymond James Stadium to punch their ticket into the divisional round.
Detroit is hoping to secure a berth in the AFC Championship game for the first time since the 1991 campaign.
