Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers was not impressed with his team’s effort during Thursday night’s 113-110 loss to a shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies team.

“We had some guys here, some guys in Cabo,” Rivers told reporters after the loss, per Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.

A late push from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who led the team with 35 points and 12 assists, was not enough to overcome a Grizzlies team missing Jaren Jackson Jr., Marcus Smart, Ja Morant and Desmond Bane.

Brook Lopez added a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists for the Bucks, while Damian Lillard contributed 24 points on 7-of-21 shooting.

Starters Jae Crowder and Malik Beasley were held to single-digit point totals in the loss. Patrick Beverley, coming off the bench, recorded one point and four rebounds in 14 minutes on the court.

Thursday night’s loss marked the Bucks’ second consecutive blowout after a Wednesday’s 123-97 loss to the Miami Heat. Milwaukee is now 3-7 since the team’s Jan. 26 hiring of Rivers as head coach.
